Situated at the most southerly point of the reef surrounding Yap, this is a fascinating site that's well worth visiting. Currents are strong here and it is generally a drift dive.
You'll find coral everywhere, particularly daisy and feather stars, so fish life is abundant. There is a vertical drop of 40m to a slope of 23m where you come across a ledge that marks the drop-off into the depths. The site is so named because of the large numbers of lionfish that hide in the coral holes waiting to feed on passing glassfish and other small prey.
The deep water is home to a wide variety of larger pelagics including many shark, barracuda, eagle and manta rays, jacks, snapper and turtles.
