The southern island of Pinang provides more diving opportunities and this spot is a rocky outcrop that descends down to 20 meters or so. Strong currents are often experienced in the channel that separates it from the island. Blacktip sharks have been spotted here along with barracdua, trevally and jacks.
There is an old wreck of a cargo vessel near the Marine Headquarters on the north of Pulau Pinang. It is now covered in coral and is home to many fish including a stonefish that takes some searching out!
