Hello, All:
This is a terrific site and my compliments to the Asia Dive Site folks.
I note a lack of comments about divig in Korea, though. Understandable. If I may, I'd like to help remedy that.
I spent the 4th of July weekend diving from Jeju-do, the resort island off the southern end of the Korean peninsula. It was fantastic!
I'm a NAUI Master Diver with a couple hundred dives (certified in 1980), the bulk of which have been on Guam and Key West (Home is where the Navy sends you) and other cats and dogs places. Jeju is substantially different from all of these but equally as beautiful as the best of them.
The waters are a cool 19-23 degrees C these days. The Island is volcanic so the topography above and below the surface is very interesting. Add to the dive environment multi-colored soft corals, black coral, lionfish, cuttle fish, octopus and all sorts of anemone and and reef fish, and you have a true "cool water paradise." I snapped about 150 pictures over the three dive days. We dived twice a day both from a boat and from the shores of local Islets. Much of the diving wall diving in light current, though we also did a reef dive. Vis was in the 40 foot range (rainy days that weekend ). I enjoyed every bit of it.
We booked thru Big Blue 33, which is one of many dive outfits on the island. The owner, Ralf Deutsch, is a superb guide below the waves as well as for local entertainment. I'd go diving with him again in a minute.
So, if you are looking for something a little different, think about Jeju Island off the coast of Korea!

Thanks for the compliments.

We will eventually get round to adding information about dive sites in Korea.

We have just finished the Philippines and are now moving on to the Maldives, Andamans and Micronesia! The work never ends!
