Situated just south of Sumilon Island, do not confuse this site with Apo Reef which is off Mindoro. It is regarded as one of the best areas to dive in the Philippines and is well worth the effort of getting there.
There are some eleven main sites to choose from, with the marine sanctuary on the southeast offering some some of the best diving. The area is covered with hard and soft corals and reef fish everywhere. Expect to see wrasses, damselfish, tangs, surgeonfish and snappers in profusion. The above only names a few of the species on offer.
Pelagics are to be seen all over as well, including barracuda, tuna, dorado and blacktip and whitetip sharks.
