I have searched high and low for a good dive shop in Thailand with several brands to choose from. It seems that most of the stores are affiliated with Scubapro and will only sell their kit.

Divers Emporium offers a wide range (I bought some nice Mares stuff on Koh Tao) of brand names and also does the servicing. So if you're looking beyond Scubapro (and they do make some nice kit) try this place.

I am quite pleased with my ScubaPro regs and ocy.

But I understand your frutration with dealers who only stock one brand of kit. So much for having a wide selection to choose from.

I am also suprised by the apparent lack of shops in Bangkok itself. I mean I know there are a few, but they suffer from the same problem you describe...

Anyway, thanks for the info on Koh Tao!
